The Three Sisters Dinner - A Collaboration with The Shi Institute at Furman University
Please join us for an unforgettable evening at Topsoil Restaurant in Travelers Rest where we will be hosting a special harvest dinner in collaboration with The Shi Institute for Sustainable Communities and Furman Farm at Furman University. For months we have been planning with The Shi Institute and the Furman Farm to create a very unique dinner event we are excited to share with you.
Indulge in a unique culinary experience celebrating the harmony between corn, beans, and squash - known as the Three Sisters and enjoy a menu inspired by ingredients indigenous to our area. This event promises to be a feast for the senses and a celebration of sustainable, locally-sourced ingredients. Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind dining experience!
Originally designed as a fundraiser for the Furman Farm and its efforts to teach sustainable and regenerative agriculture, given the impacts of Helene on our community, funds will now go to support the Community Conservation Corps, a partnership between the Shi Institute at Furman and Habitat for Humanity Greenville County. Proceeds from the event will support storm recovery for Habitat for Humanity homeowners and/or ongoing efforts to build resilience through home weatherization work in our community.
Come support a wonderful cause and enjoy indigenous Fall foods of our region.
