How are restaurants enhancing guest experiences, post-Covid shutdown? Fine dining, farm-to-table kitchen and market, Topsoil Restaurant, launches unique, curated experiences in Greenville, South Carolina. 



Greenville, South Carolina: As the restaurant industry remerges nearly two years after the Covid-shutdown of 2020, Topsoil Restaurant in Greenville, South Carolina has their focus set on creating  meaningful guest encounters- namely through their three unique, curated dining experiences that launch this month. Topsoil Restaurant’s goal for their curated experiences is to connect guests to locally-sourced food, and foster their sense of place and belonging within the community.


Family-Style Dining: 

Family-style dining at Topsoil Restaurant invites conversation, laughter, and fun as guests pass and share farm-to-table fare prepared by award-winning Chef Adam Cooke. A coursed family-style dinner is  presented, and guests are welcome to help themselves to servings of the signature cocktail- served to the group in a party punch bowl. Family-style dining at Topsoil is the ideal experience for gatherings with friends and family, corporate dinners, birthday parties, and more. 



A Garden to Drink In:

This al-fresco dining experience takes place in Topsoil Restaurant’s stunning garden patio, just steps away from the renowned Swamp Rabbit Trail. Guests can enjoy farm-to-table hors d'oeuvres by award-winning Chef Adam Cooke, and refreshing “farm-to-glass” boissons and libations. With plenty of space to meander and mingle amongst the flowers and herbs, a shaded patio space, plenty of seating for guests to relax and enjoy their refreshments, A Garden to Drink In is the perfect setting for any occasion or celebration.


Chef’s Picnic

This “Bike-to-Table” dining experience offers guests a memorable meal, worth the journey. The Chef’s Picnic experience begins as guests pedal with a guide from Downtown Greenville to Topsoil Restaurant on electric assist bikes, enjoying the sights and sounds of Greenville’s multi-use greenway, the Swamp Rabbit Trail, along the way. Upon arriving at Topsoil, guests will delight in an elevated picnic spread, prepared by award winning Chef Adam Cooke using ingredients from Topsoil Restaurant’s local farming partners. In fact, there's a good chance the guests will travel farther to get to Topsoil than their food did. With Topsoil Restaurant overlooking the Swamp Rabbit Trail, creating an elevated culinary experience that incorporates a beautiful, scenic journey by bike is an exciting offering for the Greenville, SC community.


About Chef Adam Cooke: After graduating with honors from New England Culinary Institute, his resume includes a long stint at Blackberry Farm in Walland TN where he led the fine dining team alongside butchers, cheesemakers and farmers.  He worked later at the Resort at Paws Up, Rock Creek Cattle Company and returned to the South to open Restaurant 17 at Hotel Domestique.  His accolades include being awarded Grand Chef Relais Chateaux, being voted one of the 40 best chefs under 40 by the Mother Nature Network, 2 appearances at the James Beard House in New York, and being featured in The Blackberry Farm Cook Book, Relais & Cahteaux’s 85 Inspirational Chefs, and several magazines including Cooking Light, Southern Living, Garden and Gun and Eating Well.  He was named a James Beard Semi-finalist for Best Chef Southeast in 2020.
